Angels Serving Others

Here are a few photos of our days working at the grocery store.  What a great experience.  Most of the guys enjoyed this very much, but would have rather been playing baseball of course!

Angels On Wheels

When it rains in Anderson, SC this is what ball players do.  These guys were fun to watch.  I think they better stick to baseball.  There was much less balance and ability at the skating rink.  By the way, they are holding on to those coat hooks for a reason.  Good times!

Angels take it to the Rams

Just a few thoughts…In the games against Grayson we scored 26 runs!  They scored 7 and we pretty much gave them those.  Our pitching has been great!  It has been very consistent.  Our bats have come alive throughout the batting order and that’s a good thing.  Our base running seems to have improved, but one thing I would say is that we still get a little unfocused after we do something big when we are hitting and we forget to pay attention to the next responsibilty.  Let’s work on that.

All in all, it was a great week/weekend of baseball.  Let’s have another one this week!

Angels 9 – Warriors 1

This game was awesome!  Great pitching from Blake, Morgan and Jacob.  Only two hits allowed.  You guys really hit your spots.  Low and outside was the call for the game.

As for the hitting you all attacked the ball and if we keep doing this good things are going to happen.  Several of you had great hits and had the opportunity to score.  Jesse and Dallas, I was especially proud of your hitting.  Good stuff.

Looking forward to tonight.  We need to keep focused on our spots and hit the ball solid.  Lookout Grayson, here we come!

Happy Birthday Coach Dan!

So the big 5-0.  That’s a great accomplishment in itself.  My uncle the rocker from Three Dog Night always said, “If I’d known I was going to make it this long, I would have taken better care of myself.”  Coach Dan, thanks for taking care of yourself, your family and friends.  We admire you very much as a Coach and even more as our friend.  Thanks for encouraging us to be leaders and better coaches and atheletes, ultimately for God.

What a great day for baseball and Coach Dan said that he couldn’t think of anywhere else he’d rather be that day than hanging out at the ballfield.  Cool.

Jesus is cool and I like Coach Dan too!!!

Sounds like a new song to be written.

Let’s here it Angels players, fans and friends for our Coach!!!

TEAM

“The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be worth a dime.”
